  • According to LGBTQ+ community members surveyed; these are the top five health issues facing LGBTQ+ individuals in Erie County—issues the Fund is designed to address:

    • Depression

    • Suicide

    • Isolation

    • Bullying

    • Alcohol/Drug addiction

  • Approximately 7/10 LGBTQ+ Pennsylvanians have experienced a mental health challenge in the past year, but only 4/7 are receiving mental health counseling or treatment.

  • In a targeted health needs assessment of the LGBTQ+ community in Erie, 47% identified suicide as a top health issue.

The LGBT Fund of The Erie Community Foundation has given over $150,000 to local nonprofits and projects that support the LGBTQ+ community.

What we can do:
