LGBT Grants
The LGBT Fund of The Erie Community Foundation was established to provide financial support to nonprofits that address the unique challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community. The LGBT Community Endowment, a component fund of this group, issues annual Request for Proposals.
We seek proposals for projects that address various needs in the LGBTQ+ community, which include but are not limited to:
Safe schools
Youth homelessness
Mental health, substance use, and suicide prevention
Housing and workplace equality
Family support and recognition
Our 2024 Grant Cycle will be opening this fall. Stay tuned for updates!

Crime Victim Center 2019
The LGBT Community Endowment awarded a grant in the amount of $5,000 to Crime Victim Center of Erie County for Counseling and Creating Safe Spaces for LGBTQ+ Students.

The LGBT Community Endowment awarded a grant in the amount of $5,000 to Greater Erie Alliance for E3 LGBTQ Youth Summit.

GEAE 2022
The LGBT Community Endowment awarded a grant in the amount of $5,000 to GEAE in partnership with Journey to a Trauma-Informed Life for counseling of LGBTQ+ teens in the Erie community.

NAMI 2020
The LGBT Community Endowment granted $4,500 to NAMI of Erie County to provide LGBTQIA+ Support Groups at Penn West University.
